As a Ford employee, I’ve always believed in the vehicles we build - but nothing tests that belief quite like a cross-country road trip with your family!
This summer, my wife, our kids and I set out on the ultimate family adventure: five provinces, one U.S. state and 4,500 kilometers in just 14 days. With long drives ahead and a family’s worth of essentials to pack in our vehicle’s ample cargo space, our 2025 Expedition was more than ready for the challenge.

Our route took us from Toronto through Ottawa, Montreal, Québec City and PEI, then on to Halifax and St. Andrews, before circling back through Sherbrooke and home again.
The Features That Got Us There
What are your favorite vehicle features on a road trip? Two standout features, powered by Ford Integrated Services, enhanced our journey: BlueCruise and the new Ford Connectivity Package. Supporting the North American launch of these technologies has been a career highlight for me, but experiencing them with my family brought that work full circle.

Most of our driving was hands-free with BlueCruise, making long hours not just easier but enjoyable. We arrived at each stop refreshed, and it worked across highways in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Maine.
The Connectivity Package kept everyone online with strong Wi-Fi and ports to spare! We loved that it “just worked” - no hot-spotting or roaming fees, even in the U.S. We streamed our Spotify playlist and used Google Assistant and Google Maps at every turn. My son and I even parked and snuck in some gaming while the girls shopped!

The Road Well Traveled
By the time we rolled back into Toronto (in extreme comfort, thanks to the front massaging seats) we were grateful for the memories we made and for how our Expedition carried us every step of the way.

For me, the trip was more than a vacation. It was a reminder that the work we do matters, helping families like mine stay connected, comfortable and confident so they can focus on what matters most.
