'For a Car This Size, the Amount of Space is Unbelievable!'

We all know the feeling of packing for a trip, only to find there’s too much stuff and not enough space.

And packing an electric vehicle for that same trip is going to be even more of a compromise, right?

Well, no. Not if the car in question is the Puma Gen-E. 1

Space was absolutely front-of-mind when we started working on the Puma Gen-E – the electric version of our best-selling car in Europe. 2

For the Puma, we introduced the MegaBox. This clever storage, integrated into the boot, added an extra 80 litres of storage 3 – enough to swallow the contents of a small supermarket shopping trolley. It was a hit.

For the Puma Gen-E, we wanted to go one step better.

Meet the GigaBox.

This storage space has been increased from 80 litres to 145 litres. 3 On its own, it can hold two carry-on suitcases or a folded pushchair – with all the conventional bootspace still available, giving a huge total space of 574 litres. 3 That's enough to carry two pushchairs, a paddle board, picnic table with chairs and a bag, everything you could need for a trip to the lake or a last-minute getaway with the family.

Does that mean an end to tough choices when packing everything that everyone wants to take on that weekend escape? I’m not sure we can promise that.

But the most informed critics, the automotive media, think it could make a really big difference.

As one journalist said: “For a car this size, the amount of space is unbelievable.”

See what else they had to say in the videos below.

For a car of this size, having this amount of space is unbelievable!

This thing has one of the most remarkable boot spaces I have ever seen.

Despite having that battery, it's still massive inside.
