Powering Productivity with a New Approach to Charging

At Ford Pro, we are laser-focused on boosting productivity and uptime for our commercial vehicle customers. We understand that for businesses adopting electric vehicles, reliable, efficient charging isn’t just a convenience — it’s essential for their daily operations and their growth.

The electric vehicle charging landscape is rapidly evolving, becoming increasingly complex and specialised. To ensure our customers always have access to the most innovative, robust, and future-proof charging solutions, Ford Pro is strategically evolving its offering in Europe.

We are moving to a new dynamic model, leveraging the deep expertise of industry leaders to deliver best-in-class charging infrastructure and services for hard-working businesses ready to ‘go electric’.

Partnering with industry leaders

We are teaming up with ChargePoint — a charging industry leader — to introduce specialised electric commercial vehicle charging solutions, first in Germany and the UK.

This collaboration will give Ford Pro commercial vehicle customers access to innovative home and depot/office charging with accelerated charger installation times and advanced fleet functionality to better manage charging activity and costs— optimising the productivity of their electrified fleets.

Our goal is to accelerate the roll-out of more collaborations like this across Europe through 2026, and we’ll be announcing additional market-specific providers in the coming months.

The new offering is specially designed to support Ford’s full electrified line-up including the E-Transit Courier.

This more flexible and specialist-driven offeringis designed to help van owners and operators get the absolute most from their vehicles including E-Transit, 1 E-Transit Custom, 2 E-Transit Courier, 3 and the award-winning Ranger PHEV. 4 It will help them fully capitalise on the productivity, uptime, and reduced running cost benefits that electrified vans can provide.

Quicker installation and smarter charging

What does this mean for customers? Firstly, reducing wait times for charger installation, to get businesses up and running faster. Then there’s a wider range of advanced fleet functionalities, including Automated Home Charging Reimbursement, DC charging capabilities, and advanced power management solutions for both static and dynamic load management.

ChargePoint will support fleet customers needing charger installation at drivers’ homes or at their business’ depots and offices in Germany and the UK.

In addition, our customers will gain access to class-leading fleet software solutions that empower fleet managers to control charger access, apply tariffs, and gain crucial insights into energy usage and costs. All commercial customers get access to cutting-edge hardware and software for future-proof charging and optimised uptime.

We are committed to delivering a smooth and efficient experience for our time-poor customers through a streamlined referral process and clear communication.

And we are carefully selecting providers for their strong customer service and user-friendly digital platforms. We’ve also made sure that customers will still be able to view vehicle charging records using Ford Pro Telematics. This means fleet managers retain a single, comprehensive platform to manage their vehicles’ data — a big bonus when managing fleets of any size.

User-friendly digital platforms include Ford Pro Telematics.

This new Ford Pro charging model will make operating electrified commercial vehicles even more compelling and productive for businesses.

It’s a great example of how Ford Pro empowers businesses with the tools they need for a more efficient, electric future.
