What's New: Transit City

Target Customers and Uses:

  • Businesses needing a cost-effective electric van for urban low-emission zone work
  • Last mile delivery and multi-drop couriers
  • Service, maintenance and repair providers
  • Municipal fleets, utilities and building contractors
  • Refrigerated delivery

Electric Powertrain:

  • 56 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery
  • 110 kW front-mounted motor
  • Target driving range up to 254 km 1 — over twice the daily average of electric vans in Europe’s cities

Charging:

  • 11 kW AC charging; 10-80 per cent charge in around 4.5 hours 2
  • 87 kW DC fast charging (maximum power); average charging power 67 kW
  • 10-80 per cent charge in approximately 33 mins 2
  • Add around 50 km of range in 10 minutes with a fast charger 2

Lower Cost of Ownership:

  • Potential for reduced energy costs versus diesel, especially through off-peak energy tariffs where available
  • Service interval of two years or 40,000 km
  • Ford Pro expects servicing costs to be 40 per cent lower than an equivalent diesel van
  • Backed by Ford Pro’s extensive European service network of over 800 Transit Centres and around 500 Mobile Service vans

Cargo and Conversions:

  • Payloads up to 1,275 kg 3
  • Load length over 3,000 mm for L2H2 variant and space for three Euro pallets
  • Load volume up to 8.5 m 3
  • Three body styles: L1H1 van, L2H2 van, and chassis cab — a first for Ford Pro in this segment, designed for easy conversion

Standard Technologies:

  • 12-inch dashboard touchscreen
  • Apple Carplay and Android Auto compatability 4
  • Keyless start, air conditioning, heated driver's seat, rear-view camera
  • One-pedal drive mode 5 specifically designed to help reduce driver fatigue in cities

Transit Durability:

  • Torture testing recreated 240,000 km and 10 years’ use with the most extreme customer
  • Extra focus on toughness of high-usage items like doors, driver’s seat and ignition system
  • Warranty on all high-voltage components for eight years or 160,000 km
