Built for America: 2025 Ford Expedition Now Shipping to Customers

Throughout history, Ford has been a symbol of American manufacturing. We’re very proud of that legacy, and proud to still be a leader today.

Yes, we’re a Michigan company. But, deep in America’s heartland, you’ll find our Kentucky Truck Plant, a manufacturing powerhouse where Ford has been assembling vehicles for more than a half a century.

This week we’re celebrating the launch of the all-new 2025 Ford Expedition out of Kentucky Truck Plant, where 9,000 proud Louisville-area residents work hard every day, proving to the world that Ford is America’s automaker — one that employs the most U.S. hourly autoworkers and assembles the most vehicles in the U.S.

And while Kentucky is home to one of the most powerful plants in Ford manufacturing, the all-new 2025 Ford Expedition wouldn’t be headed to customers today if not for the 17,000 other Ford employees at nine other U.S. plants in four other states who also supported this launch.

And part of being America’s automaker means working toward a brighter American future. Ford has already invested $500 million in Kentucky Truck Plant for this launch.

It means finding ways to stay true to our legacy of innovation, and always striving to improve the way we serve our customers.

The Kentucky Truck team focused relentlessly on quality for this launch, adding 1,200 inspections, more than 200 new inspectors, 72 new technology tests and six times the number of AI-powered inspection tools compared to the last Expedition launch.

And it means showing up for our communities and partners, in good times and in bad, just as we have for 122 years — because a business can only be as strong as the community in which it operates.

So far, more than 16,000 all-new 2025 Ford Expedition vehicles have shipped to customers across all 50 states.

It’s our company’s flagship SUV, redesigned with stunning new features that will help families everywhere experience their world in the most powerful way possible, together.

So it’s in that spirit that we celebrate all the generations of Ford workers who are a daily testament to the power of American manufacturing.
