On Tuesday, November 11 at 8:30 p.m. ET, ABC News Live will premiere the powerful documentary “Call to Serve” in partnership with Ford and Team Rubicon. The documentary, which premiered at the 2025 Tribeca X Festival, has been extended with exclusive footage and interviews and will stream on ABC News Live, Disney+ and Hulu.

I'll personally never forget being in Asheville, North Carolina, right after Hurricane Helene hit last October. I was there with Team Rubicon, and what I saw will stay with me forever.

Amid so much heartbreak, the kindness of strangers — including many incredible veteran volunteers — was truly beautiful. Our film crew was right there with us, and that footage became the heart of "Call to Serve.” The documentary follows former Army combat engineer Dean Wagner on his journey to find his way home and heal through service as a Team Rubicon volunteer.
