Ford Raptor Dominates at Mint 400; Lovell, Healy Score Class Victories

LAS VEGAS – The Ford Raptor proved its mettle at the Mint 400, with Ford Performance vehicles securing multiple victories across the stock classes. Brad Lovell, piloting the Ford Ranger Raptor, clinched first place in the Stock Mid-Size class after a fierce battle.

"We really had to fight for this first place today," Lovell said. "We were battling all day long with Vaughn in the Bronco Raptor, and it was definitely the toughest competition I’ve had racing these stock trucks."

Lovell praised the Ranger Raptor's performance, noting its reliability and speed.

"Zero down time, hitting well over 100 miles an hour out in the desert—it was an absolute blast,” he said.

Vaughn Gittin Jr. followed closely behind Lovell, securing second place in the Stock Mid-Size class in the Bronco Raptor.

Loren Healy added to Ford's success, claiming victory in the Stock Full-Size class with the F-150 Raptor R.

"We came out and did what we wanted to do," Healy said. "We added nothing but fuel all day long, zero issues with the trucks. I’m so proud of this team—we’ve been racing at Baja, at Hammers, but this is absolutely 100% the roughest race in the U.S. It was a perfect day."

In other classes, John Williams III continued his winning streak, defending his 2024 Mint 400 4600 Stock Class title. Williams also had a podium finish at King of the Hammers earlier this year. Bailey Campbell, in her first 4600 Stock Class competition, finished second behind the wheel of the RTR Vehicles Ford Bronco.

The Mint 400, known for its challenging course, has been a proving ground for off-road vehicles since 1968. The course has massive, embedded rocks and is known to destroy trucks that aren't up for the challenge. But for Ford Performance and the Raptor lineup, it was exactly the kind of terrain they thrive in.
