Join Us for the Grand Opening of the New Ford World Headquarters

On Sunday, November 16, Ford will open the doors to our brand-new World Headquarters (WHQ). Join us at ONE AMERICAN ROAD as we ring in an exciting new chapter.

Take a rare look inside with immersive tours, and see the Ford story told through vehicles and engaging installations around the campus. Enjoy car shows, food truck vendors selling local favorites, live entertainment, Fall treats and family-friendly activities. Plus a few surprises!

United Way of Southeast Michigan Donation Collection

Honoring our 75-year history with United Way, we are collecting pantry items at this event to provide support to local families in Southeast Michigan. Priority items include:

  • Canned & Shelf-Stable Foods: Canned protein (tuna, chicken, turkey, etc.), beans, pasta, cereal, oatmeal, granola, peanut butter, dried fruits, nuts, trail mix, and rice.
  • Cleaning & Paper Products: Dish soap, household cleaning supplies, tissues, toilet paper, paper towels, and laundry detergent.
  • Baby & Hygiene Items: Baby formula, diapers, deodorant, toothpaste, and hand sanitizer.

Q: How does the tour work and what will I see?

The tour is a self-guided walking experience through the interior of Ford’s new World Headquarters, featuring employee wellness areas, workspaces, and a few surprises along the way.

Q: How long will the tour take?

Guests are invited to explore at their own pace. Most visitors can expect the tour to take approximately 15–30 minutes.

Q: Can I change my tour reservation?

Due to high demand, tour reservations cannot be changed once booked. If you need to cancel, please reply to your confirmation email, and a member of our team will assist you.

Q: If the tours are sold out, can I still attend the event?

A tour reservation is not required to attend the grand opening, which includes many activities for attendees of all ages. If you plan to join us on Nov. 16, please register to attend.

Q: What should I bring?

A: Please bring a government-issued ID and your ticket, located at the top of the event confirmation email sent on Nov. 14.

Q: What accessibility accommodations are available at this event?

Our campus features wheelchair-accessible entrances, restrooms, elevators, and tour routes. Please email Jahaan Blake if you require any special accommodations during the event.

Outdoor celebration and community activities: Enjoy live entertainment, family-friendly activations, and partner showcases across campus.

Community car show: Stroll a lineup of beloved Ford vehicles curated from community members.

Food and Beverage: For-purchase options available across outdoor event area, including vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher, and gluten-free options.

Q: What should I wear?

A: Attire: Casual, comfortable footwear recommended — majority of the event is outdoors and on foot. Weather: Expect late-fall Michigan conditions; please bring a warm layer and rain gear if needed. Most activities continue rain or shine.

Q: What are the photography and media plans for the day?

A: Photography is welcome in most areas. Please respect any “No Photo/Recording” signage. Media will be present; by entering, you consent to being photographed/recorded for event documentation.
