At Ford, we believe our responsibility goes beyond what we build — it’s about how we show up for people, for communities, and for what truly matters.
That belief is why my relationship with Michigan Humane means so much to me.
What started out as my wife and daughter volunteering with Michigan Humane grew into something far more meaningful. Over time, it led to adopting two dogs, becoming involved in fundraising, and ultimately joining the Michigan Humane Board of Directors. What began as giving back became part of who we are.

Supporting this mission hasn’t just changed the lives of countless animals and the families who love them — it has enriched our own lives in ways we never expected.
It’s a reminder that sometimes the smallest first step can lead to a lifelong commitment to making a difference.
Michigan Humane often talks about “serving both ends of the leash,” and that idea stuck with me from day one. It’s not just about animals — it’s about people, too.
I’ve met individuals who don’t have much themselves yet make real sacrifices for a pet that gives them unconditional love in return. That companionship can truly change someone’s world, giving them purpose, comfort, and stability.

That shared belief is one Ford holds closely. It’s why we’re proud to be the presenting sponsor of Michigan Humane’s Tailgate, an animal-friendly celebration that supports adoption, access to care, and resources that help keep pets with the families who love them.
I encourage anyone to get involved by walking or running at Tailgate, volunteering, or simply showing up. Together, we can serve both ends of the leash and continue moving our communities forward with compassion.
