David Graham’s love for classic cars runs in the family. “My dad had a small classic car lot up until he passed away,” Graham said. “So I’ve always been around collector cars and enjoyed them.” Ford trucks, in particular, have been a staple throughout Graham’s life. In fact, his very first automotive memory is riding in the front seat in his dad’s 1979 Ford Camper Special truck at 5 years old.
As an adult, that appreciation turned into a family business of his own.
The Kentucky classic car collector hunts leads across highways and backroads, inspects each find, and, when the right one turns up, he hauls it home. “I typically put between 20,000 and 25,000 miles on my truck per year, looking for and picking up classic cars all over the country,” he said.
Those long days on the road require a dependable heavy-duty pickup with the capability of trailering heavy loads of vintage vehicles across America.
Graham had been casually looking for a new heavy-duty truck for some time when he drove past the local Conway Heaton Ford dealership and caught the 2027 Ford Super Duty® Carhartt® Edition sitting front and center. "My wife actually saw it first," Graham shared. And at his wife’s urging, the two turned around to check out the truck.

The moment they pulled in, it was a done deal. “I absolutely love the Marsh Gray color,” he remembers. “It’s what made me want to buy it on the spot.”
Built for the Job, Inside and Out
For Graham, though, it wasn’t just about buying a good-looking truck; it was about functionality. “I need a truck that’s reliable, powerful, comfortable and looks good,” he said. “The Super Duty Carhartt Edition delivers on all fronts.”

Due to the nature of his work, Graham’s truck is part workhorse and part mobile office. Under the hood, he chose the 6.7L High-Output Power Stroke® V8 Turbo Diesel for the power and capability needed to tow his classic-car finds. “The power from the 6.7L Power Stroke engine is amazing,” he said.
He got to put that power to the test on his first haul, picking up a 1970 Chevelle Super Short at a warehouse. “The truck performed fantastically,” Graham said. “It was so smooth. I couldn’t even tell the Chevelle was on the trailer being towed behind me.”

Graham spends hours behind the wheel, so comfort was a top priority. The unique seats are inspired by Carhartt’s iconic Duck Canvas fabric with triple-stitch detailing, materials that feel familiar to someone who has worn Carhartt for most of his life.
On the Road Again
