Here are all the updates for the Ford Explorer for the 2026 model year.

Model Lineup & Availability

  • New Series/Equipment Group Availability includes Active Base (100A) and Tremor® series (800A).

Exterior Updates

  • A Panoramic Fixed Glass Roof with Power Shade is now an optional feature on all series.
  • New exterior color: Marsh Gray (available on ST-Line, ST, and Tremor).

Interior Updates

  • A Second Row Bench Seat is now available on the ST series.

Technology & Connectivity

  • The Ford Connectivity Package (one year included) is now a standard feature on all series.
  • A 5G Modem replaces FordPass Connect™.
  • A 7-year Ford Connectivity Package is available as a one-time purchase.
  • A longer prepaid subscription plan for SiriusXM with 360L (three-year plan) is available.
  • On ST-Line & Tremor with the 2.3L engine, BlueCruise hardware is only included when a subscription is ordered at the time of purchase.
  • A new 7-year BlueCruise subscription is available for ST-Line, Tremor, ST, & Platinum.

Safety and Security

  • The keyless entry keypad is now factory installed/orderable.

Performance & Capability

  • The 2.3L Engine must be ordered with the appropriate emissions content based on the state.
  • The 3.0L Engine only has a 50-State Emissions option that covers all states.

Packages & Options

  • The new optional Tremor® Convenience Package adds features like Ambient Lighting, an Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror, upgraded Sideview Mirrors, Rain-Sensing Wipers, Driver's Seat Memory, and Third Row PowerFold® seats.
  • The new Tremor® Ultimate Package is included with the 3.0L engine option on the Tremor and adds features from the Convenience Package plus a premium B&O Sound System, Power-Folding Mirrors with Autofold, a Panoramic Fixed Glass Roof, and Multicontour Front Seats with Active Motion®.
  • New Dealer Installed Options include Side Window Deflectors and Windshield Sunscreen.

Standard Equipment Changes

  • The Ford Connectivity Package (one year included) is standard on all series.
  • 18" Sparkle Silver-painted Aluminum wheels are standard on Active (100A/200A).
  • 18" High Gloss Ebony Black-painted Aluminum wheels are standard on Tremor (800A).
  • BlueCruise hardware is standard on ST, Tremor 3.0L, and Platinum® trims.
  • A one-year BlueCruise subscription is included for the Platinum trim.
