“Seeing the Animals Eat the Food We Transported is the Greatest Motivation”

Our Ford Ranger PHEV 1 (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) has just been named the International Pick-up Award (IPUA) winner for 2026/27.
This isn't just any win; it's the fourth time in 15 years that Ranger has taken this top honour and it’s the first time a hybrid vehicle has clinched the title, marking the beginning of a new era for tough, capable trucks.
“We are incredibly proud and honoured that the new Ford Ranger PHEV has been named the International Pick-up Award winner for 2026/27,” said Hans Schep, general manager, Ford Pro Europe. “Having won with the all-new Ford Ranger in 2024, we deeply value the recognition the jury has now given to the electrified plug-in hybrid model, demonstrating the consistent excellence and innovative spirit that defines the Ranger lineage.”
Why the Ranger PHEV Stood Out
Ranger PHEV earned its win after rigorous on-road and off-road testing in Bulgaria by a 23-strong jury of experienced automotive journalists. Judges said they were particularly impressed that it delivers hybrid efficiency and zero-emission driving capability without compromising its power, towing or off-roading capability.
Jarlath Sweeney, Chairman of the IVOTY and IPUA jury, praised the Ranger PHEV for delivering "outstanding, class-leading performance with even greater efficiency and lower fuel costs for everyday journeys."

Power In Your Hands
One of the standout features of Ranger PHEV is Pro Power Onboard, 2 which turns it into a mobile power plant for your tools and electrical devices so you can keep working wherever you are, without the need to carry a separate generator.
Pro Power Onboard is another Ranger feature designed to make light work of tough jobs.
Ranger Owners Provide The Real Test
Every Ford vehicle is subjected to the toughest of tests, but there's no substitute for the experiences and opinions of real Ranger owners.
Here's what real Ranger owners discovered when they tried Ranger PHEV for themselves.
Building A Legacy
The latest generation Ranger is the product of years of development, and builds on decades of knowledge from our global team of engineers.
Built and sold around the world, our constant drive for improvement is just one reason why it has been the best-selling pickup in Europe for the last 10 years. 3
1 Ford Ranger Plug-In Hybrid homologated CO2 emissions 143-145 g/km WLTP Euro 6e-bis (UK: 70-72 g/km Euro 6e), homologated fuel efficiency 6.2-6.4 l/100 km WLTP Euro 6e-bis (UK: 3.1-3.2 l/100 km Euro 6e) and pure electric driving range up to 43 km WLTP. The declared WLTP fuel/energy consumptions, CO2 emissions and electric range are determined according to the technical requirements and specifications of the European Regulations (EC) 715/2007 and (EU) 2017/1151 as last amended. The applied standard test procedures enable comparison between different vehicle types and different manufacturers. A range of up to 43 km can be achieved with a fully charged battery - depending on the existing series and battery configuration. The actual range may vary due to various factors (e.g. weather conditions, driving style, route profile, vehicle condition, age and condition of the lithium-ion battery)
