Capri and Explorer Recharged: What’s New for Ford’s Electric Icons?
Here’s a look at what’s new for the enhanced Capri and Explorer line-up, available to order now with deliveries beginning May 2026.
Standard Range battery improvements
- New Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery
- Capacity increased from 52 kWh to 58 kWh
- Capri Standard Range now up to 464 km 1
- Explorer Standard Range now up to 444 km 2
- Allows more frequent charging to 100 per cent capacity
Electric motor improvements
- Power increased to 190 PS 3
- Torque increased to 350 Nm 3
- Improved acceleration – both models can now accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.0 seconds
