TIME Names Ford America’s Most Iconic Company

At the request of the White House, Ford will host President Donald Trump and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent at the Ford Rouge Center on Tuesday, Jan. 13. Bill Ford, Jim Farley, and Plant Manager Corey Williams will guide President Trump through a tour of the assembly operations at Dearborn Truck Plant, home of F-150 (gas and hybrid) and F-150 Raptor.
President Trump is just the latest commander in chief to visit the company’s operations. Ford has hosted every U.S. president for the last 50 years — and many before then — as part of its commitment to America, which includes working with every U.S. presidential administration, regardless of political affiliation.
Few companies, particularly automakers, can say they do more in support of the U.S. Recently, Ford was recognized by TIME as America’s most iconic company. The company assembles the most vehicles in America1, exports the most vehicles of any automaker, and employs the most hourly autoworkers in America2.
More than 80% of the vehicles Ford sells in the U.S. are assembled in America.3
